| NYK & Greenshields launch new Panamax Pool
NYK and Greenshields have established a new panamax pool to be called The NYG Pool. The pool will be jointly managed by Greenshields and NYK. The Pool will focus on global trading of owned and timechartered tonnage utilising the FFA market to manage risk. A spokesman for Greenshields said "We are excited to be working alongside a company of NYK's stature and believe that together we can enhance the partners' returns through taking a trading approach to the markets." A spokesman for NYK said that the company was looking forward to developing a freight trading capability alongside the Greenshields team. The Pool commenced operations August 1.
