Tarquin International
Tarquin International
announced today that it is to demerge into 3 separate companies
with immediate effect.
The company, founded in 1998 as a joint venture between Greenshields
and Tarquin Gas Carriers, has grown steadily over the last 4 years
as a commercial manager in the gas, bulk and oil tanker markets.
Greenshields, founded by Bill Boase and Yoshi Yasumoto in 1997,
will now operate independently from offices in Edinburgh and Tokyo
focusing on the dry markets and shipping venture management. In
addition it will continue to run the web portal, tshipping.
A new company, Kingfish Services Limited, will take over all the
oil tanker activities and will be run by Mark Slemeck and his team
from London.
Tarquin International, managed by Andrew Niven and Ewen Gillespie,
will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Tarquin Gas Carriers focused
on the gas sector and will continue as commercial manager of the
Tarquin gas fleet.
The new ventures will continue to cooperate in areas of mutual interest
while the new structure will allow each company to focus on its
particular area of expertise and provide a more tailored service
to its customers.
